West Tualatin View School on that fateful snowy evening in December.
Many of us will remember December 14th because it started snowing while we were still at school, causing havoc on the roads, delayed pick ups, and an early start to Winter break. It also revealed the values of our community as people rallied to help one another put chains on tires, bring warm clothing for teachers on duty, offer to take care of neighbor children when parents couldn't get home, and feed adults and children still left at the school. The International Baccalaureate emphasizes ten qualities that when aspired to help create global citizens who work together to make a "better, more peaceful world." These Learner Profile traits were manifested in the West TV community that cold, snowy night by caring, open-minded risk-takers who through their principled actions communicated kindness and selflessness. Thank you, West TVers for being there for your friends, teachers, and community.
